Today is election day and I took little Jack with me to vote. I wasn't sure if he would be allowed in the polling place, but I decided to take him anyway. Wow! It was was such an amazing reminder to me how our love for animals unites people. When little Jack appeared in his tiny red, white, and blue bow tie, everyone wanted to take pictures of him, and ask about him. Suddenly there were no Democrats, no Republicans, and no Independents, everyone was united in their love for dogs. It was such a great reminder to me of one of the many reasons I love animals so much. Through my dogs and my love for animals I have gotten to meet so many amazing people, many with points of view very different than my own. No matter how different we are, we are brought together by our common love of animals. Animals help us see past our differences and see the good in one another.
